The mandate primarily aimed to ensure the harmonious integration of amenities within a limited, irregularly shaped space, while guaranteeing connectivity with surrounding networks despite the partial landlocking of Riviera Park within a new residential neighbourhood. A key challenge was to maximize ecological potential by increasing tree canopy cover.
The site planning concept developed made it possible to create a dense, organic green space, limiting the effects of heat islands. The park’s winding path offers users an immersive, natural experience. The landscaping and amenities were designed to enhance the site’s conviviality, while elements such as a shade shelter were integrated to improve comfort. Riviera Park thus becomes a structuring and attractive green space at the heart of the residential neighbourhood of the same name.
