Development of a Study on Industrial Spaces in the Beauharnois-Salaberry RCM

A strategic assessment that identifies industrial potential and guides its development and redevelopment for a coherent regional territorial vision.
APUR was mandated by the MRC de Beauharnois-Salaberry to conduct an inventory of occupied and vacant industrial spaces, as well as spaces to be redeveloped within the City of Beauharnois. This study was divided into two components: Component 1, which focuses exclusively on the territory of the City of Beauharnois to meet the requirements of the Montreal Metropolitan Community (CMM) under the Industrial Space Revitalization Program (PREI), and Component 2, which covers all seven (7) municipalities that make up the MRC. The content of this study enables the MRC to comply with the new government land use planning guidelines (OGAT) as part of the revision of the Revised Land Use and Development Plan (SADR). The main objective is to provide the MRC and its local municipalities with a clear, updated, and forward-looking portrait of industrial spaces to support decision-making and guide interventions in land use planning and economic development.
