Overhaul of the urban plan and zoning bylaws for the Municipality of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac

Drafted regulatory bylaws
Reinventing the territory, building a sustainable future.
APUR completed the overhaul of the urban planning by-laws and regulations for the Municipality of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac in 2024 to ensure compliance of its regulatory framework with the revised land use and development plan of the MRC de Deux-Montagnes. The exercise also provided an opportunity to review the planning along Chemin d’Oka to promote densification of this structuring roadway at the regional scale; planning that was the subject of a special planning program carried out by APUR in parallel with the mandate. The overhaul also enabled the Municipality to enhance all of its regulatory provisions relating to ecological transition and environmentally responsible consolidation of the territory to ensure alignment between the regulatory provisions and the Council’s ambitions.
